So no idea if anyone started this type of thread. Anyhow let us share our computer specs. Most recent purchase, what game you are playing, and maybe a little about your self.

My computer

i7 2600k overclocked 4.4 ghz
GTX 560 TI Galaxy
Gigabyte Z68 ud3 b3 Motherboard
8gb DDR3 Corsair
650 Cooler Master PSU
Haf X Case
OCZ Vertex 3 120 gb SSD Primary Boot drive
1 Terabyte Seagate running in Raid 0
1 Terabyte Western Digital running in Raid 0
2 Terabyte Green Western Digital
Das mechanical keyboard
1920x1080 Dell Monitor

I recently just purchased my SSD and I am loving the boot and load times. My computer literally boots and loads in 10 seconds and in games such as battlefield 3 I have loaded within seconds. The Haf X case was handed to me for free from a friend. Same with the i7 2600k. The Das mechanical I received as a christmas gift. I love typing on it, feels very sexy.

Currently happy with my new setup. Before my SSD my computer was bottlenecking, now it is perfectly fine. I am currently playing Shogun 2 and battlefield 3 in all their glory. I am currently having trouble deciding to upgrade to AMD's new GPU lineup or wait for NVIDIA.

The 7970 looks nice. But I'd rather not deal with driver problems that I've heard. Also I know eyeinfinity is great but I only see myself using one monitor. We'll have to wait and see.

Oh, and I like waffles.

Ooooooooo... I love these threads!

My computer:

-Intel Pentium 4 (with hyper-threading technology®) running @ a blazing 3.0 Ghz. Over-clocking causes it to wheeze harder than an obese chain smoker trying to run a marathon.

-NVIDIA GeForce 9800 GT which was selected at random at a local electronics retailer. It's secretly plotting to murder me in my sleep for this, as it became a deprecated relic without having done anything noteworthy when it's graphical capability was still relevant to modern gaming.

-abit Fatal1ty AA8XE. This, along with the tower, was found in the trash. It didn't have a video card and the board itself had no integrated graphics, which explains the graphics card.

-2gb DDR2 533. The brand? The cheapest shit I could find. Probably fabricated in China, and it's only a slight upgrade from affixing bricked computer chips onto a piece of toast and inserting it into the RAM slot.

-Stock intel cooling fan. As I already explained, it works great. Also has a really gay system fan with blue LED lights. Awesome.

-The tower has no brand name on it whatsoever. It has a window so you can see it's rotten innards computing. It used to have a lockable door in front, but it fell (not broke, fell) off since the hinges were smooth metal dowel rods that easily slipped out of it's plastic housing - almost as if the sweatshop that manufactured it used oil instead of glue. It is the single most ineffective barrier I've ever met with in my life, and I've seen both Evangelion and Rosario Vampire.

-Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB with four external drives at varying capacities. If nothing else, I need space to maintain my digital hording tendencies.

-Microsoft® wireless keyboard 1000. I purchased it after I accidentally pissed on my old Gateway keyboard/mouse combo. Don't ask, it's not worth it.

-A 720p native Vizio 32" LCD TV is my monitor. It has a dead pixel in the upper left corner and genuinely blows at putting out blacks. Even in it's native resolution, it cuts off about ten pixels on the right side of the screen making it difficult to find the scroll bar at times. I HATE ITS FACE.

The last modern PC game I ever played on this computer was Black and White 2. And despite my griping, this rig faithfully boots up every time, displays manga pages real quick, and plays anime smoother than you'd think. Even 10bit(though not so smooth in 1080p. it plays it fluidly, but not so much if I seek). PC gaming is for rich people, and rich people I am not. So why upgrade when my computing needs don't demand it? That's silly.

/insert non-sequitur
