A manga where the protagonist does not really exists or is a ghost of the past, Tidus from FFX, though it would be interesting if it revolves around the fact and not just reveled at the end but both work. A non manga example would be Dr Crowe from The Sixth Sense, any genre is appreciated except hentai yaoi etc.

I forgot to mention that one revilenigma, but thanks anyway. Maybe i should have mentioned that the protagonist shouldnt initially be aware of his state...
