Hmmm let's see.....eight years. I also was sparked by Hana Kimi 😀 though Kodocha was my actual first!
I'd guess I've completed about 200 actual series...I guess. But, I've been reading so many. @_@ Without this site, I could never keep track of them all!!!!

I've been reading manga for about six years. I was introduced to manga via InuYasha and Card Captor Sakura--Master of the Clow. And look where I am now. . . As for how many series I've read or have begun reading it's just too many to count.

I think I was either a freshmen or a sophomore in high school when I started reading. So around 7 years ago back in 2003. The first one I bought was Trigun and then I bought Mars. Ever since I read Mars I was hooked. When I started reading there wasn't really any main stream websites that scanned and translated, so you read what came out to the U.S. But it was kind of fun I had a group of friends that we all bought different series and traded. But I've read so many different series I can't keep track.
I just counted my own personal collection and I have 319 volumes (I stopped buying and reading for a couple of years because work and money issue) of stuff now and depending on how your counting 39 series (I count one volume series and spin offs as a series). I also don't count downloaded stuff as owning the series. ^_^ But boy does time fly.

Wow, now that I think about it, it's been some time since I started reading manga.
Let's see, I joined this site almost a year ago, before that I lurked here for two years and I think I read manga half a year before I came across this site. So that would make three and a half years.
Somehow feels like a lot less.
I discovered the aweseomeness of manga after I got reintroduced to anime by a friend. Completely lost interest after watching Dragon Ball Z when I was ten or something.
Started reading manga a few month after that, when I finished watching Elfen Lied. It was awesome but the ending sucked ass. Then I read somewhere that there was a manga. So I braved the dark depths of the internets to find it. After catching up to the scanlations I went to search for more manga to read. That's when I found Onemanga and a little while later mangaupdates.
Funny thing is though, the friend who was so avid about anime and introduced it to me again, completely lost interest in everything anime and manga, while I still read manga daily. Funny how things work out like that.

Counting 12 years now. First comic was probably Rose of Versailles. I started reading whatever my older brother brought back for me from the used bookstores, and then started collecting on my own with my allowance. My personal collection would span the size of a very small coffee shop. I have to keep track of everything through an excel sheet. People come in and they think they've stepped into a library.
Unlike most other readers here, I'm a slow boat. I take my sweet time reading and re-reading every series, and have probably only finished 35-40 different long-running series (one being 32 volumes). I've sped through a lot of 1-3 volume tankos though. Too many to count.
I feel very greedy and personal about manga because I'm OCD or something, but after a lot of consideration, I'm going to have to trim down my collection to what I'll actually read.

Close to six years at this stage, I think. As for how many, I have no idea.
I might take the time to look that up...
