I read my first manga in 4th grade.
If I remember correctly it was Inuyasha, I think, or Kare Kano.
&
I'v read soooo many!
Hundreds I assume.
&
Currently I'm reading atleast 50+ but they don't have many chapters atm.
Hm. I "borrowed" (read as: stole while they weren't looking with the intention of giving it back once I was done) Ranma 1/2 volume 7 from one of my friends when I was in 8th grade. It took me a while to figure out wtf was going on, but when I finished it, I asked for the first volume. XD

To be honest, at first I thought reading manga was stupid. It reminds me too much of comic, and I didn't fancy comics too much... Then a few months back, I had the urge to read Air Gears since the anime series ended abruptly. So yea... now... I'm sorta hooked... lol.

I started reading about three years ago, with some random chapter in an issue of Shounen Jump. The first manga I've ever bought was the first volume of Fruits Basket. As for how many...well, a lot. I'd say, hundreds.

I started about two/three years ago... Picked up Fruits Basket at my neighbourhood library. After that went on to read full metal alchemist (haha, yeah, I know, big jump) and gradually got totally hooked. 😀

I've only been reading manga for less than a year.....sad, I know. I was watching some anime, and I kept hearing all about these manga reading websites and I was so lost, so I read one and I liked it, then I just got hooked. So, yeah, I probably havent read any more than anyone else. I've only read the ones on my lists, and that is all.
I think I first started reading Manga in 7th grade (5 years ago) It was Ranma 1/2 😕 I didnt know it was called manga back then

I began watching anime in december 2006. It all started with mermaid melody.
I refused to read manga for a loooong time. I watched Basara in the summer of 2007 and I didn't like the ending, so I read the manga.
It's a good manga, but not to be your first. I guess it's better to start with a light-headed manga like Kare First Love.

when i was like 5 or 6 years old my parents used to let me
borrow 1 episode of dragonball everyday....
than i got into animes when i knew how to use MIRC and BITTORENT...
got into college, and didnt have time for animes, so i just
went from anime to manga, on the contrary i found out that manga
is shorter, no fillers, always sticks to the story, purely original by the
author, no censors, and way ahead of the anime ( that way no dumbass
can ruin the story for me )...
