agreed... that was like nothing.... it was expected that the captain commander would win... they should have just moved on to someone else, and shown a small portion of the chapter showing the burning body of that monster sad

Damn that thing didn't give up even by being cut in half.
Scary stuff... leutenants got pwned badly...
Well I guess this serves to show how strong that old guy is.

Seems like the Espada have no chance... Dunno how tough the top 3 are but looking at the impressive Espada track record they are all but toast.

Grimmjow survived, cuz he's too cool to kill and cuz Ichigo fought him.
Yammi is cannon fodder, and Ulquiorra is gunna get it soon.
All that poses a problem is the top 3, but will they be up to the task?

Yeah, kinda pointless chapter. Only serves to show how wickedly powerful Yamamoto is (powerful to the point where I expect Aizen may kill him pretty soon). I guess it is kinda cool to see the old man fight though. I'm curious as to who will fight Halibel's fraccion now that their initial opponents are injured. Perhaps Sasakibe will finally be given his chance to develop a character. I somehow doubt it though.

I think it was an attack (or another way to go to shikai? Maybe?) confused

okay, so if mr. old guy could kill that dude so easily, then why the hell was he even letting his own subordinates fight and get there asses kicked by that thing!? Really, that's what i hate about Bleach. USE SOME GODDAMN COMMON SENSE!!!!!!

Because then they'd be no "Bleach", ho ho. wink

Yeah, that was kind of pointless...and quick. I've been waiting for Yamamoto to kick some serious ass, and he did, but it wasn't very eventful was it? Or, hmmm, perhaps the monster isn't really dead yet. We know it got sliced into fours, but I wouldn't put it past a hollow to do some funky regenerating and pop right back.

But I agree with everyone else who thinks that these battles are kind of dragging on. Some plot development at this point would be nice. As would Yamamoto doing some more impressive ass kicking. cool

I agree.
It took a whole chapter for that thing to come at Yamamoto, get cut in half and burned roll ...could have been done without dragging it out so much.

What this chapter was trying to point out was that that Arrancar-monster hybrid could easily defeat all the Vice-Captains. Consequently, the Commander-General defeated him easily as well, though that monster showed really strong tenacity.

Basically, Yamamoto is super strong. This is actually the first fight we saw of him, so it kind of elaborated on that, which can be seen as useful. Other demonstrations of his power in the past was showing his reiatsu to Nanao making her unable to breath, and handling both Shunsui and Ukitake (who are powerhouses as well) and still be on par with them, or even stronger...

This chapter didn't really bother me. What does interest me though, is which fight will follow up.

It's called preserving your strength.

Why waste your strength fighting small fries when there are enemies that might be more powerful than you that you still have to fight. The strongest go against the strongest because your subordinates won't stand a chance againt them, so you give them the crappy things to fight so you can concentrate on the big boss.

Don't know what kind of logic you've been used to, but you always save the strongest till the end or risk getting whooped by someone only because you weren't at full strength.

By the way, common sense is the least common thing in the world. Everyone says it, but it is never so.
If it was common, you wouldn't have to say it now would you.

Keep in mind that even if they get through these Espadas they still have Aizen to deal with. What's the point of beating the Espadas and have no strength to fight Aizen. mad
