This may be a long shot, but I'm looking for a particular children/teen's book (short story?) where a girl or guy (don't know age) gets transformed into a frog and basically lives his/her life out as a frog.

The only parts I remember are:
1) s/he meets a guy frog (not a transformed frog) and lives his/her life with him/her
2) the guy frog transforms into an actual human, and female frog is devastated. Then she tells her children that they only look out for themselves, never to go close to humans

Anyone have any ideas?

EDIT: I should clarify that this isn't a manga/anything asian!

Well, after a little googling is it Ojamajo Doremi 16 (Novel)? A synopsis I found from the translator says she's transformed into a frog after wandering into a mysterious shop.

If its not, could you give some more information?

For example, is it translated?

Do you know if it was published in Japan or Korea?

It's actually an English book, not anime/manga/Japanese/Korean/Asian, etc, which was why I thought this might be a long shot.

I read it about 8 years ago, but neglected to remember the title...
