I mostly read manga because it's easier to get, bu i've read a few european comics such as Tintin, Asterix, Largo Winch, Torgal,Lucky Kuke, and a few other mature comics. I'm not into superhero comics, so that excludes a lot that you see at Barnes & Noble/Borders.

becasue life is BORING, movies are to short and unimagentive in genral also WAY TO EXSPENSIVE, books have to much shit mixed in so you never get anything good and again to exspensive or to long to wait for the libary, sports are to painfull and thats about it

For the question, i think it can't be compared but if i have i will say DB are better.
but well, they cost too much.

Because a while ago I downloaded anime, liked it, then saw how readily available manga was.

I also tried reading 300 and a couple others, but the art doesn't appeal to me (Although western comic character designs are better, I hate colors :/ )

There is a much wider range of manga for girls ~ the few American comics I've read aimed at a female audience were abysmal. 😔

To me, if you don't love superhuman comics (...most people don't...) there's not much America can offer. 🤢 With manga, there are limitless genres, which is why they are more appealing. 🙂

The art and narrative of most manga (manhwa, etc) is of a much higher standard than western comics as well. 😃 🤣

I think mangas are better but i dont have much to compare it with. The only comics I read are The Watchmen, deadpool and transmetropolitan. The watchmen was genius, deadpool and transmetropolitan were both incredibly bad. So besides the watchmen, i havent read a comics nearly as good as mangas like vagabond, parasite.

I don't find manga superior to American comics, or comics from any other country. I just have found several mangaka whose work I really enjoy, and have access to more manga than comics from anywhere else.

I don't find it superior to other comics, but I do prefer it. They are easier to relate to, as well as acquire.

Comics are kind of hard to read... and follow the secuence O_o at least new ones are. All those ads and stuff + the relates plots they insert they are kind of messed up.

Before I "discovered" manga, the only "comics/cartoon" type things I found were just action, fighting, and good vs evil. While that's great for a while, it gets boring. I mean, I love action stuff, but sometimes, I want to read something fluffy, too. Or something were the bad guys have their own back story and are actually good. Mix it up a bit, right?

I agree that manga has a much broader target audience: there are manga for all ages and all genders.
Manga is cheaper to buy.
I've been addicted to manga/anime since I was a kid. I blame Sailor Moon for that 🤣
Clean art, and a wide variety of plots in every genre.

On the other hand, I really enjoy well written/drawn american 'comic' books and graphic novels.
Not big on superheros other than Batman...
But a series like The Sandman or novel like 300 is worth the extra money IMO.
There are simply fewer out there, and with rare exeptions, they are all targeted at an adult male audience.
