New Poll - Video Game Olympics

This week's poll was suggested by jacob66. Imagine the Olympics had a video game category. What would you want them to compete in? I realize that not every category is an option in the poll, such as strategy. I was just thinking it would be cool if people from each country played as their own country in a massive Europa Universalis IV game (although it would be pretty unfair)

Question: Have you ever read a series because it won an award?
Choices:
Yes - votes: 885 (30.4%)
No - votes: 2024 (69.6%)
There were 2909 total votes.
The poll ended: September 10th, 2022 9:49am PDT
I'm actually surprised that so many people so yes. Thought it'd be a lot less...

Puzzles are the only thing that technically isn't an Olympic sport already, and would actually challenge the mind.

it actually seems more skillful than many of the newer Olympic additions
canoeing, trampoline & climbing aren't very sporty
so e-sports isn't such a crazy idea
probably all the genres; with brackets and new game genres for quarters, semis etc.

‘None of the above’, but some would be preferable to others. I can see how watching a puzzle/strategy game could be interesting, but people playing sports games at a competition where athletes are playing the actual sports would just be peak absurdity.
As much as I love to watch speedrunning, there are too many RNG involved mmm...
A classic esport title like CSGO might be the best way to introduce video games into Olympics if ever needed mmm...
I will change this world mmm...

I'm not sure any other kinds beside shooter and fighting would make any sense, as the others are either poorly formatted for an Olympic kind of event or reliant on something that could update and mess up all one's training. Sports games are redundant.
I'm a jack of all trades but master of none. Too many jars and not enough hands.
Fighting games. Tekken and Street Fighter

I'd say RTS.
It's the easiest to balance and keep fresh appart from racing and fighting games, they're also my personal favourite. I'd also put those, but fighting games usually get into conflicts with priorities of movements.
XD I'd never expected Speedrunning getting chosen the most I'd rather die than watch a speed run of something I've already seen. Only if the RNG seeds were the same for everyone, they could practice with them and the game was played at 1/2 speed or with a certain fixed response time frames and then all was fasted forward would it be remotely fair or slightly interesting.

Watched a speedrunning race on SGDQ2022. They had two teams that raced each other on custom made levels of Super Mario World. None of the runners had seen any of the levels before. It worked surprisingly well.
~4400 manga completed
~1700 ongoing...
The "least" physically demanding Olympic sport seems to be shooting: https://olympics.com/en/sports/
Professional RTS play for sure is harder on the body.

Maybe RTS. Second choice would be puzzle. 4X games would be inappropriate.
