i liked this chapter it was lots of fun and refreshing after all the sadness of aces death

well, I'm not sure here but doesn't Sabo's hat look a lot like what Ace wore later on......so I doubt Sabo will make it, but who knows 😛

That's what I was thinking as well. I mean, it doesn't look exactly the same, but you never know...

And I have a feeling that if Sabo doesn't die in this flashback, then he's connected to the World Nobles in some way...

Interesting chapter, especially Sabo. Feel sorry for the kid (Somehow, I think Luffy and Ace will mount a rescue attempt to get back their friend).

Also, it's good to see Dadan actually does care about the trio after all, even if she won't openly show it.

Sabo, huh? Interesting... Can't wait to see him reappear.

Fun chapter to read. Luffy developing his gomu gomu no pistol was a nice touch. It also looks like Luffy has a second older brother (though I wonder who is who older, Sabo or Ace?) It'd be nice if he's still alive after this flashback is done, especially if he's a fighter on par with Ace (though Ace does have his Logia fruit) and as he could be the main guy to help Luffy overcome Ace's death (except maybe Garp or another Strawhat).

It seems to me that Sabo dies, somehow or another. Ace even mentions this moments before his death. Well, he mentions the "Sabo incident". As well as never hearing the name ever in the entire story. He's either dead or not well known. Or, like someone said already, he's connected to the nobles.

But knowing Oda, he rarely kills off a character that he's worked so hard to refine. Check out Croc & Hacchi (love that Enel is still alive as well). Would be great to see him grown up in the next 50 or so chapters.
