ShoujoMagic, one of the oldest shoujo scanlation groups, is planning to
close its doors. They will first release several more chapters that are currently
partially completed, then they're gone for good. The projected closure is in
several months (so think of this as filing for bankruptcy).
Good luck to them all as they move onto bigger and better things

Definitely one of the oldest and best groups around. <3
Best of luck to all of its staff~! :3

There arent enough groups. I want to see more bishies and romance. I am just sorry to see them go as I wonder who will replace them. I really feel more sexy romance need to be scanlated.

It's sad to see them go, but one could see that it wasn't too far beyond the horizon before they closed their doors. The brought us a lot of nice work over the years, and I'm grateful for that. There's a lot of series that are getting read today because of them, so thanks for everything SM, good luck to everyone in your group that's contributed!

They were as good as gone anyways. Looking at the register, they did maybe 20 chapters during the last two years. Nothing like the time where they pushed out series after series.
But there is always fresh blood. Whenever a group closes, people always paint the future black. But the reality is that today more stuff gets translated than ever before.

Thank you to ShoujoMagic staff past & present.
Manga-updates will be a bit poorer without your releases,
but good luck with your other endeavors in life.
