I'm not sure if this has been created but...
So which genre do you like better and why? I'd much prefer shounen because it usually has some sort of deeper plot instead of some cliched girly romance. (Don't get me wrong though, I still like shoujo...) Sure, a lot of the time the series get dragged out and are slow-placed but I like that sort of stuff.

I like both as long as the art is standable for me. And also I can't read alot of shoujo because it's just to lovey dovey for my liking.

Both for me since there are good things and crap on both sides anyways.
There's more or less the same amount of story and development if you looked in the right ones, not to mention both tends to follow the same cliches of their own.

i like both as well but some shojo is way 2 mushy or completely pointless 2 me. i prefer the shonen if i had 2 pick 1

But other than this, I voted for Shoujo of course, because of the pretty art, it has unique plot twists and a whole lot of things. 😛

Manga I'm loving ATM: Heart no Kuni no Alice

They both tend to be more ridden with cliches. I prefer Seinen and Josei over both of them typically, naturally there are exceptions. I've read more Shounen than I have Shoujo just because I often don't like the art style as much.

Shounen. Shoujo seems to be slightly more cliche'd.
