I'm not talking about the category recommendations though.
If i cant add them, then who does and how does it work?

I am wondering the same thing. The category recommendations is some kind of algorithm, I think.
The way things are it might have been better if the users could simply add the recommendations too(preferably being able to argue why the recommendation is there)

Did you figure out how to add recommendations or what the recommendations field is for?

We don't currently support it. It's on a list of things we want to do.

We need a way to report egregiously wrong "Category Recommendations". This was inspired by seeing Dokidoki Inkou Chuubou in the "Category Recommendations" for Josou Shite Machi ni Kuridashitara Ikemen ni Nanpa Sareru. Literally the only tag they have in common in "Older Female Younger Male", and they're very different series in tone and content.

So, it's a weighted comparison, and most likely what's happening is that the one series doesn't have any really good matches, so it's getting attached to random series. I would like to add separate user-driven recommendation systems in the future, but we'll keep this in mind if we get a chance to fix it.
