I started skipping school in middle school which eventually led me to drop out of high school and I regret it every day, my advice would be don't do it or you will regret it.

I only miss school when I'm really sick (yes, that means I go to school sick).
As in, throwing up all night and in the morning and still feeling bad*.
Or a really high fever (so high I literally feel like doing nothing but sleep)*.
So it's definitely not skipping, since I sleep at home and rest.
It's too hard for me to make up work that I miss when I'm out of school, so it's not worth it to skip (for me).

*happened this school year already ><

I've got this spontaneous sickness that usually kicks in on fridays mornings, that keeps me out of school, true story. 😁 Modern medicine is yet to find a cure for it so i hold it down by going to the mall, beach, or any outdoor activity that involves laziness. 😀

In gr.6 I skipped school so badly the governor of education had to request an appointment from us to meet. Apparently they counted the days I moved too, but deleting those days, the absence days were still quite huge... Enough to give me a warning "if this ever happen again, we'll meet at the court".. WTF, to think it was all in gr.6 >_>

Then in gr.8 i was still skipping but i tried not to keep a pattern =DD so i was off then 😀

@Sagaris, you only need one credit for french.. which you could have taken in gr.9. Or are you in gr.9? O-o

not at our school........french was considered one of the cores....and they wouldn't give us credits for it as a high school course......

Oh then I don't know.. I thought that only occurs in places like Montreal or Quebec etc. -shrugs-

Hmm...I never used to skip school. Honest! Once I got into sophmore year though I started getting lazy...Nothing big! Just skipping one day that had a lot of open mods....Now its kinda a habit...But I'm one of the A students and I always choose good days to get 'sick' so I don't really miss anything and even when I do I always get it finished on that same day while I'm at home... Technically I'm going to school at home 😀 !.....I have truancy problems >_>;...

yes, all the time.

Where I used to live there was this court program for school "skippers/trouble makers" and anyone who was in the program would have to go to the court house every Friday and meet before a judge. If they had any unexcused absents or if the teacher wrote a bad report (like if you got in trouble in school, acting up) they would have to go to a juivinal center for the weekend. i wasn't in it tho, i know someone who was.

(I don't know how to spell juivinal) 😕

This year I'm skipping with more frequency than I have before the 12th grade, which is never. Well, more than skipping, I've been coming late to school like crazy... ugh 😔

I skipped on both the senior skip days, and in college i have not been to my 9 am class in over a month, but my advice to those in high-school is that you really shouldn't skip as you don't want to ruin your future.

Me too 🤣 I used to sneak in during lunch so the guards wouldn't notice~

Do college classes count? If so then yeah, I skip like half of my classes. Thankfully I already know all the stuff for one of them though.

The only times I skip school is when I oversleep. Really.

at my highschool, there're these "supervisors" who, in my opinion, were former gang-members on parole...seriously, they're gigantic, with dark sunglasses, and menacing tatoos all over their arms...call it prejudice, but i seriously question their previous experience involving breaking up or contributing to the fights between teenagers...

anyway, it's pretty easy to skip in my school...there're all this construction work going on, and the guards are pretty lax since not everyone has 6th period, so they actually let you pass if you tell them that...i skipped 6th period many time, since it's my PE class (waterpolo)...waiting for swim season to come, and no point to go to class when the period's only 45 minutes...

other than PE, i've never intentionally skip a class...

Well, I don't miss school that much and if I do, I stay home because its either the day before a sorta big vacation/holiday OR when I'm sorta sick. Yeah, I exagerate a bit. XD

Although I'm a pretty dull kid, I'm skipping a Pep Rally. I hate those events. >__<

pep rallies. It would have been nice if I could have skipped those back in HS, but we usually had tests in all our classes on Fridays. So it was like a double whammy.
