The possibilities of twisting a sentence above into something very inappropriate. 🤣

LOL THIS TOO.

You are like the dense main character in a shoujo manga.

Finishing the best book I have read in about a year. (Not meaning that the other hundred books were bad) 🤣

And having the rest of the series to read, seeing as though it was just the first book!

Would you mind me asking what book it is? I need stuff to read to kill off the summer boredom. 🙂

It is a fantasy book, and the cover looks nothing like anyone in the book. As usual 🤣 Hope you enjoy it (If you haven't already read it)

Um, and I suppose another thing that made me smile today was finding out that the first tart I have ever baked turned out wonderfully.

I suddenly remembered the time I was barely getting into the Manga scene.. and I remember reading Hana Yori Dango.. and there was the "author's note" part, and she was thanking her fans for supporting her, and wanted to know what us readers thought about her work.. and the fact that she's happy to receive letters from fans. Being the smart kid I was back then, I sent her a gift, and a heart-felt letter expressing how much I admired her and her amazing work...

I flipped through the manga today and realized that the address was to the American licensing company here. 🤣 Hey.. back then, I didn't know Hana Yori Dango was from Japan! I was still fairly young.

Where did my present and letter go! XD
Atleast somebody got it.. even though it wasn't the person I wanted it to be. ^^;

One of my customers at work made me smile!

She was a friendly grandma who was just browsing around the bakery, and then a big smile was on her face when she saw that we had Pound Cake available. So she said to me,"Young lady, may I have a pound cake?"

I was about to get the one closest to me, and she said, "Can I get this one in front? It is just so beautiful. Just like you!"

I was born with a mean-looking face, and I have had some customers tell me upfront that I look unfriendly.. But that grandma sure knows her way with words! <3 (although she did kinda compare me to the plumpest pound cake...)

Even if it was probably a slip of the tongue, she made my day. :3
