So you have your food manga like Yakitate!! Japan. Then there's tons of other manga out there where there's a chapter where the character cooks a dish. For this poll suggested by our member Fansomedreams, have you ever tried to cook a dish similar to something featured in a manga series? Maybe it's super fancy like a cake, or perhaps it's as simple as sushi or a rice ball. Hot pot anyone?
You can discuss this poll on our forums here:

It appears most of us have read some webcomics (although I haven't). Perhaps I should start.

Missing: Haven't yet but want to
P.S. Don't read What Did You Eat Yesterday hungry. It makes the hunger worse.

Addicted to curry actually gives the recipes of the food made in the story, I myself have never tried it even though I am a chef. I have cooked things in other mangas, but not because of them.

I'm kinda cooking a lot at home since it's fun for me and I tried various different dishes from japan, but not a single one because of a manga. They all turned out good, though.

I modified my fried rice recipe based on advice from Nadeshiko Club.....does that count? It was a great improvement......

another set of responses conjoined with conditions that don't apply to everyone. i understand people like to add in their own flavors to spice things up, but please also provide simple yes/no options...

Where's the choice: Yes, but I was hungry an hour later?

No, not really. My cooking attempts tend to wildly vary in results from "really yummy" to "unspeakable terror" so I try not to experiment too much. =P The last time I tried cooking something from scratch or even from some "recipe off the net", the food looked like it had gained sentient life. No one dared to eat it and I swear it was staring at me.
