if you could get any tattoo what would it be
Quote from Liria
I think part of the reason I don't have a tattoo is because I don't know what I'd get. Nothing has ever stuck out strongly in my mind as "I must have a tattoo of that."
I feel the same way. If I were to get a tattoo I would have no idea of what and where it would go, I'm already a very indecisive person and with something as broad as this, pretty much impossible for me.

I'd tattoo a watch on my wrist.
Lol you should do that, that's pretty genius, never seen one like that before.

I saw a show on the Discovery (I think) channel about the various types of tattoos and inking methods used worldwide. Interesting show. They went into prison tattoos & inks, traditional japanese tattoos and inking, yakuza full-body tattoos, modern-day tattoos, etc. The host of the show got 4 different types of tattoos as part of the show.
The traditional japanese tattoos were absolutely gorgeous, but the method used to apply was much more painful compared to normal modern-day methods. The trade-off is the quality of color gradient - the traditional japanese method, if done correctly, can give better color gradients than modern methods.
If I got one, I would probably either get a ring around my upper arm of some kind (maybe celtic knots), or something on my shoulder blade.
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.

That was the poking with a needle or such right? I rmeber that show it was awesome. They come out so great I go through the pain for one. Probably really expensive though.

I'd get a tattoo of a target on my head or chest, that way I wouldn't have to deal with the equivalent of permanent, permanent ink for the rest of my life.

Yeah, it's a set of needles in a straight line, sort of like a small comb. They dip it in the ink and then poke the whole thing into your skin, and the pressure they puncture with determines the evenness of the coloration on the skin. I presume it would take years to master.

I know someone who had matching Jack and Sally tatoos (Nightmare before Christmas). Aww <3
For myself, I think a traditional looking unicorn in a very small tattoo has always been an idea. Somewhere easily covered, like my back or an ankle (But not if it would interfere with my pointe shoes). And it would be something that was at least partially my own design.

It can takes years to do one tattoo from what I've heard.

A black star near my collar bone and a cresent moon on my left arm. Maybe a red spider lily tatoo going down my right arm in a spiral-like direction. 🤣

A goldfish or koi (more or less the same right?) in the back of my neck or somewhere else that's easily hideable. And very small.
Here is yet to come a witty comment on love
Polite bump.
Hmm, I don't really know... I don't think I'm going to get a tattoo, but who knows. I'm not particularly against it. It'd be something small though, not something that covers my whole back like I'm some mafia member. ... Hmm... If I did a tattoo, it must be something important, something that transcends time... I really can't think of anything. Maybe it's good that I'm not going to put a tattoo. I would probably regret it after a year. 🤣
Maybe have my own symbol that has a special meaning to me... Or a date that had some serious impact on my life? Bleh, I'm not cut out for this!

It'd be something resembling henna, and it'd be down the insides of my wrists and/or the sides of my neck, going up into my hairline, not sure where it would end, probably somewhere around my spine or even in the front near my collar bone.
actually have two tattoos already on my back, m thinking of having tattoos in strategic places like a map on my body..
