Mmm... I wonder why people like to say "Pink is the new blue" when pink is the girl color and blue is the guy color... I think black is more associated with death, as that's the color people wear to funerals in western society.

I wear black a lot especially in the summer. Well thats mostly cause I'm a Metal head and all the band T-shirts are black, then there's my leather jacket, and blue jeans.

Blue bundles represent boys and pink girls, I don't know why. Black is for mourning and funerals, white is for purity and weddings. White is the color of virgins, or something.

People should wear what they want. I really hate it when I hear something like... "wearing such and such is asking to be raped." I mean, no one says to a guy that "wearing that Armani suit is asking to be robbed".

i dun really understand why pink is limited to girls. I have a pink polo and others say it looks pretty good on me. Then again, it does have a giant Ralph Lauren horsie on it 😀

My dad wears pink shirts all the time, and he's a big man. I guess no one would dare to say to him that pink is for girls.

That's the silliest thing I've ever heard! 😛
There's several guys at my school who I've seen wear pink shirts.
But I do know that pink is considered to be more on the feminine side, but I don't know why. Colors don't make sense to me. The way you see a color all depends on what society, over time, decides what colors represent. I mean, if all throughout history and stuff, people saw pink as the masculine color and blue as the feminine color, then we would be discussing the problems with guys wearing blue right now.
I'm barely making sense to myself at the moment...it's kinda hard to explain...and I don't wanna rant too much...and I don't feel like thinking about it anyway, it's too late at night for me to think too much....

Ya, I agree with the culture thing. Like traditionally in Asia, they wear red for marriage, but here, they wear white and stuff. In Japan, they used to wear white for funerals, but they wear black for funerals here.

I just had the craziest thought... if pink had been the color of men, and since jeans were created for workers, which were men in the early days, would we be wearing pink jeans instead of blue?
