wondering if anybody reads manga with a vertical monitor how that worked for them. im shopping around for a monitor and was maybe thinking of going with a vertical widescreen(instant giant manga page?)

no clue but, just buy a regular wide screen with adjustable screen meaning u can just flip it horizonatlly and most (recent) video cards have an ability to veritcal/upside down/ your screen and such and some moniters do have that built in functions too so

I like that monitor...nice idea with the rotation, I wish it was more wide-spread even among low-end screens.
It's the best sollution I can think of, short of a nice white smooth large wall and a videoprojector.

Yeah, I do that occasionally with my laptop. It works really nice for high-res scans. Unfortunately, my 22" monitor's stand doesn't support turn, so I can't do it on my desktop 🙁
