So, over the past week, I've been working day and night coding a little pet project to help improve manga reading quality of life.

Essentially, CakeTracker is an auto-synchronizing GreaseMonkey/TamperMonkey script that syncs your progress on Batoto with MangaUpdates. The script takes a hands-off approach, and you don't really have to do anything at all.

CakeTracker isn't completely finished yet, but 90% of the functionality is ready and it is in a very workable state.

If you are interested in testing it out and giving opinions and suggestions or reporting bugs, please feel free. The script can be found here:

Instructions are already built-in. If you're using TamperMonkey, just copy and paste the script into a new one. If you're using GreaseMonkey, make up some stuff for the initial prompt when you add a script, and then copy and paste the script, overwriting whatever is there.

Then, just drop by Batoto and do your reading as normal. Everything should run as intended. If you have an addon that blocks scripts, you should probably disable it if CakeTracker isn't working properly (esp. if the UI doesn't appear).

There are only two keyboard shortcuts to remember: Scroll Lock for the UI, and Pause/Break for well, pausing/resuming CakeTracker.

Just one note: If you use custom lists on MangaUpdates, I don't suggest using CakeTracker. It will shift series you read into the primary Reading List, which might not be what you want. (Honestly, I should probably add a toggle for that none )

I use Chrome, so it's guaranteed to work on TamperMonkey. I don't really use Firefox, so I'd like to have opinions from GreaseMonkey users for cross-compatibility. Let me know about what you guys think, thanks biggrin
