Did you notice that:

Each character in the stories the rain tell are actually the same set of characters from the beginning. The rain tells the life story of the married couple in the beginning, although at random pace and not chronologically.

In order of the story, the focus characters are:

Wife: Girl who hates rain due to break up; little girl who rides home with tutor; woman getting proposed to; young lady stuck in the same room with the person she hates.

Husband: Judo boy who aids the girl to cover from the rain; little boy with the plaid umbrella; Guy proposing to girlfriend; The young man whom the lady hates.

Ex-Girlfriend of Husband: Girl whom breaks up with the judo boyfriend; little girl whom has a plaid umbrella and she shares with her crush.

Now enjoy rereading the story for those who missed out on anything.

i was a little confused when i found that the couple had the judo jacket ,polka dot and plaid umbrella and the kid was eating a candy ring.the story of the married couple is clear now.

You know what, you're right! I love this story even more now! I considered this at first but quickly dismissed it because I thought, no way, the story is good enough with all the motifs and destiny things, the mangaka doesn't have to go that far to prove a point. But you're totally right. This actually makes everything even better. I love this manga, that last panel (where the couple were about to kiss) was my phone's wallpaper for like a year. I think I was so in love with the manga, I just wanted to get to what happened next and missed the nuances and subtleties. Thanks for sharing this.

I love that Madonna (future ex-gf) had a white ribbon on her hair when they were just starting to fall in love, then a black one when they broke up.
