Question:

I recieved my confirmation email and my barcode, but after printing out the barcode, I was wondering: the email said to bring my confirmation and the barcode to the onsite registration. Does that mean to print out the entire email, or just the barcode is okay?

Hope to see you all at the convention.

All you need is the barcode (since you need to scan it)

omigosh, i can't wait to go! you can't really start summer without attending the expo! i've been going for 4 years now and i love it...for anyone out there who hasn't experienced an anime convention, this is the one to go to-it's the biggest in the US...i think...

Biggest anime con on the west coast, don't think its the biggest in US. I suggest going with friends who have gone - otherwise this con will bombard you with an experience that leave you in one of three positions - never experiencing it again, wanting to experience it again, and going wtf are you doing there (I have friends that fill all three of those before).

My personal suggestion is hitting the smaller conventions, then hit Anime expo.

This sounds exciting. I'm definitely gonna come since it's only 30 minutes from my house.

I'll be there. Is the 4 days pass worth it? I'm thinking about just getting the 2 days.

Now to tell you guys where I'll be most of the time...

I'll be working with a company called Hen Da Ne! Inc, and we have a booth in the exhibit hall. We mainly sell doujinshi (hentai, yaoi, yuri, non-hentai), imported games (hentai and non-hentai), and paddles. And just to note, I'm working here not because I like the stuff but because a fellow fansubber is an employee there

Now how to recognize the booth...
Here's one of the symbols of the booth at cons (the colorful sign is the symbol):
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/images/misc/12.jpg
Photo is courtesy of Zac Bertschy from AnimeNewsNetwork who wrote this about our booth last year:
Quote from Zac Bertschy
This is the booth with the guy who screams YOOOWWWWWWW-EEEEEEEEE! and sells those godforsaken Yaoi paddles teenage girls run around smacking each other with. If you ever find yourself annoyed by yaoi fandom, surely this guy shares some of the blame.

If you didn't understand that, one of the guys shouts "yaoi" like crazy in order to sell the yaoi/yuri paddles. Since this company goes to a lot of conventions, if you've ever gone to a con in the US, you might remember this booth...

Just ask for "lamb", and hopefully an employee can point me out (or if in doubt, I'm the shortest one working there). Or if that doesn't work, ask to talk to Chris, then ask Chris about "lamb" (it's possible that I'm on a break or at some event, panel, etc during the time you visit the booth, so don't take offense if I'm not there)
