Just ask for "lamb", and hopefully an employee can point me out (or if in doubt, I'm the shortest one working there). Or if that doesn't work, ask to talk to Chris, then ask Chris about "lamb" (it's possible that I'm on a break or at some event, panel, etc during the time you visit the booth, so don't take offense if I'm not there)

Even in RL, you let people refer to you as lambs? >.>

Looks like I'll be able to go. A relative of mine was able to get me tickets. XD Going to CA this weekend, yay first week there and already going to a con. =)

Since it'll be my first time going to a con (of any sort) don't think I'll be going for all four days. @_@;;

But you're in Russia! 😲

If you had the time and money you'd actually use it just to go to a 4 day con halfway across the globe!?

I also wish to go. Sadly, I got no money, no time and not living in US.

Its "lamb" hunting guys. Bring your rifles and tent. And don't forget your ammo and manga.

😀 😀 😀 😀 😀 😀

Now how to recognize the booth...
Here's one of the symbols of the booth at cons (the colorful sign is the symbol):

Photo is courtesy of Zac Bertschy from AnimeNewsNetwork

  1. pic used outside of ANN doesnt work (try clicking the link)
  2. can't find that booth on ANN site
  3. lol to the booth name. I've probably seen it.

got my shoes in the mail yesterday, so i;m for sure cosplaying 1 character.

  1. Just copy the link to the picture, go to the main ANN site, then paste the link in. Simplest way to get around these things
  2. Why would the booth be on the ANN site?...It's just a resale place, not a big name like Viz or something else

I hate myself for not living in America, could have gone to that expo without ANY DOUBT if I was there >__>;;

I really wish there's MU representative/booth in any anime Expo in UK, that would be so damn cool

Yet again I am reminded of the sometime dreadful fact that I do not live in America. Dont get me wrong, I love Australia, I have been telling my parents that I am not a Vietnamese; I am an Aussie through and through. But despite that, sometimes, just sometimes, I would want to live in America for the yaoi advantage, or better much JAPAN!!!

sigh And here I was trying to forget such obvious fact that I cannot visit at least 1 Anime Expo anytime soon (I was in America 2 years ago but my family and friends over there actually *shocked 😲 * hate yaoi. Totally unacceptable! They werent much of an Anime/Manga fan either 🤢

Nope, you gotta show some ID. AnimeExpo is strict about that (same with buying weapon look-a-likes here)

Biggest anime con on the west coast, don't think its the biggest in US. I suggest going with friends who have gone - otherwise this con will bombard you with an experience that leave you in one of three positions - never experiencing it again, wanting to experience it again, and going wtf are you doing there (I have friends that fill all three of those before).

My personal suggestion is hitting the smaller conventions, then hit Anime expo.

This was my exact experience the one time I attended Anime Expo! While I was there I kept thinking "WTF am I doing here" and also since then have never wanted to go to a convention again. My first and my last anime convention.

The friend I went with tried to be nice about the whole thing, but she wasn't into anime, and was just humoring me the whole time. Maybe if I'd gone with a fellow-fan I might've liked it more. And if I'd ever had the experience of going to a smaller convention, I might've appreciated the big-ness of it all, but whatever. I think if you're interested enough in anime that you want to cosplay, enter one of the contests, shop-till-you-drop in the sellers' room, then a convention is for you. Even if you're not, at least having a lot of friends there would make the whole thing worthwhile since you'd all be hanging out.

But if you're like me and don't have friends who like it, don't cosplay, don't want to enter contests, and don't like buying a bunch of anime merchandise, your money is better spent going down the street to Disneyland instead.
