What does it take for a mangaka to make its manga adapted to anime to last like Bleach, One Piece, and Naruto?

Being as popular as the Big 3 so the Anime can leech of the series popularity.
If HxH did not had such a erratic schedule (Hiatus X Hiatus) it would have been more that 62 episodes, InuYasha managed to get 167 episodes before the staff grown bored to death with it and just ended it (there were a second series that covered the end with 24 episodes), Maison Ikkoku got 96, Ranma 1/2 also got 161 episodes.
What part of "Please do not put in huge images!" did you fail to understand?
