Another poll I came up with myself since no one suggested a new one within the last week.

You can submit poll ideas here
http://www.mangaupdates.com/showtopic.php?tid=3903

Previous Poll Results:
Question: How often do you drink alcohol?
Choices:
Never - votes: 2607 (44.2%)
Once a day - votes: 77 (1.3%)
A few times a week - votes: 355 (6%)
Once a week - votes: 434 (7.4%)
Once a month - votes: 452 (7.7%)
On rare, special occasions - votes: 1896 (32.2%)
Multiple times a day - votes: 75 (1.3%)
There were 5896 total votes.
The poll ended: February 16th 2019

Don't drink and drive

None. I have no intention of getting married, either. Though my parents have already started to skirt around the idea of introducing me to someone, right now I'm weaselling my way out of it by hiding behind my postgraduate education. I won't be able to use that excuse for much longer, though... 😕

None. No marriage, no nothing. I am keeping all that money for myself baby. My early retirement fund is well underway. I am around kids a lot at work and have nothing against the future generations of taxpayers but that´s it. I live and die alone. No one who actually knows me will be surprised by any of this. Mr. Compassion I ain´t.

I actually have an interesting story on this topic. My father walked out on my mother by the time I was born and the doctors (it was 1988 in the Soviet Union) basically told her to abort me, as one of us, or both, were likely to die. She still had me via cesarian and barely survived but swore off on having other kids. I came out pretty malnourished (is that why I am so short?) but here I am 30 years later. Some would legit kill themselves to have kids, even at age 24.

Lol, my girlfriend and I plan to get married eventually but will definitely never have kids.... But she also has a well-paying job (we each make 6 figures) so there's no need for me to think of keeping money to myself.

Almost half the people don't want any kids?

That's just sad. I don't even know what else to say. It's just sad.

Though I guess at least they won't have to suffer from all the mistakes our current generation is making.

Why? I'm one of the few people who would like to have a mini-me running around someday, and I can understand the fact that some people currently don't want to bring a kid into this "clown world" (As some people have taken to calling it) quite yet.

Such as? Despite living in a "clown world", we're also in the most fortunate of times in history. World poverty has dropped to 10%, technology is almost always at our fingertips, medical advancements have almost rid the world of the deadliest of diseases, history and knowledge can be accessed unfiltered and without restriction, and globalization has given people near limit-less possibilities on how they choose to advance their life.

While things are "bad", things have also never been better. I guess it just comes down to how you view it.

Definitely no kids! I love my freedom and the last thing we need in the midst of the Holocene extinction is more people. We should be applauding people who don't have kids, definitely not considering it 'sad' or the like. No offense meant to people who do want kids, because of course it's a natural urge and there are obviously social/cultural/religious factors at play too, but A++ to no kids.

it's not a very welcoming world; even with all my resources and education there's nothing to prevent bad things from happening to my little pride & joys, that always gives me pause before adding to the planet

that being said, I have a couple and would like several more
at least until I run out of cool names to give them
I am in a tough spot though because I only have girls names left
that could be awkward

I said none because I haven't really thought about it.

Is it just me or did the manga polls used to be better? I mean, how many kids? Really? Why? Just why?

If you think there should be better polls, how about suggesting some in the poll suggestion thread that lambchopsil keeps linking?

Complaining without trying to make things better is always pathetic.

Kind of a ageist poll... not everyone here are 20 somethings and teenyboppers.

I have given birth twice but at this time in my life, I don't want any kids/children. I like not having to arrange my life around the needs of a child. So for that reason, I chose "none".
