Well, I don't think I'm so much of an otaku. Some of the questions are a bit strange. For example, I really wanna learn Japanese, but if it was to choose, I would actually prefer to learn Swedish. Anyho.... I think a Laserdisc (LD) is basically a CD that's the size of a 12" vinyl (maybe bigger). I think it first appeared somewhere between the VHS and VCD era. You needed to change sides halfway through a 2hr movie, I think..... never owned one, though.

Was sort of a big deal for image quality buffs those days.
