ok so naruto is now part of the Senjuu clan? does that mean he is related to Tsunade. wasn't the 3rd Hokage related to the first? if so there's a huge extented family for naruto

You guys are interpreting it too literally. Madara means that Naruto has inherited the Will of Fire which the First Hokage had.

Yea, Tsunade is the first Hokage's granddaughter. She see's the will of the fire in him, which is why she gave him that stone that belonged to the first.

Therefore, Naruto has inherited the First's ideals. Whether or not his is a decedent of the first or not is unclear.

The climax of the Naruto series will be the End-all-fights between Naruto and Sasuke.

Weak chapter... Destiny? What a weak explanation for everything that has happened so far. I guess even Kishimoto couldn't logically explain Sasuke's backstabbing tendencies. He should've just said "The Sharingan gene makes you back-stab a friend every month or so..."

Madara told Sasuke a while ago that the Senju clan were really strong and took in all kinds of clans, before they merged with the Uchiha to make Konoha. Going by that it is entirely possible that Naruto is actually a part of either the original Senju or some minor clan that they assimilated.

I still think that came out of nowhere though. Hopefully Madara just meant that Naruto inherited the Senju ideals. All other characters in that manga are reminded of someone they know when they look at Naruto it seems...

Here I was thinking Sasuke was playing both Madara and Akatsuki, biding his time for something. And on the point of Konoha, I'm assuming Sasuke will only go after the top 3 old peeps, Danzo and Tsunade's Senior Advisers. And I thought Itachi explained everything to Naruto when that Crow thing happened. If everything Madara said is the solid truth then Naruto will have to turn this around somehow. I thought Destiny was the act of directing yourself. Not being chained down by fate. Also, Generation Next, meaning Naruto's "graduating" class of ninja's are definitely planning something.

This chapter was so heavy-handed.

Naruto represents looooove and Sasuke hatred! As if we hadn't gotten that by now, Kishimoto has to bludgeon us over the head with this weak attempt at metaphors and "destiny."

And christ, I don't care if Naruto is a blood relative of the Senju or simply the inheritor of their ideals, it's cheap in either case.

It annoys me that Naruto gets all the toys in this manga--strongest tailed beast, strongest hokage for a father, a sanin for a teacher, legendary techniques (rasengan + sage mode), he's even got a prophecy written about him! And now he's in some way related to the legendary founder of Konoha. Up next: Naruto will be developing his own uber eye jutsu that makes his opponents see love and happy flowers when used on them.

Oh god, I dread Naruto's response next week.

i think that the senjuu are mish-mosh of clans. i know naruto's father was a no name, but he was also a senjuu. i really think the senjuu are just people with the will of fire

It's more of a mix of "destiny" and "history always repeats itself", seeing how there were other 3-man teams in past and current generations that act exactly like Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura.

I actually liked this chapter. I knew to some extent this could have been "fate" but the explanation gave me a better understanding. It may be a bit weak but oh well. Sasuke is stupid. How come Itachi wasn't full of hate? He too was an Uchiha but held loyalty to both his clan and Konoha although he ended up deciding to save Konoha and his brother. Somehow I feel Madara is lying but then again he tells the truth to get everyone worked up.
Final show down: Sauke vs Naruto
I really want to see this fight soon >.<

Of course, that a Naruto/Sasuke rematch is going to happen is obvious. But that it's looking like it'll be series endgame is what kills me. I'm probably pretty stupid for staying hopeful for so long that it wouldn't be.

It just makes me wonder: is Sasuke all this manga has to offer? Are there really NO bigger and better things Naruto (the character and the series) could move onto? (Missions! Adventures! Becoming hokage!) And if that is what Kishimoto has planned, there's no way it could be a satisfying ending: If Sasuke dies/sacrifices himself during the fight, all the time/energy Naruto has consumed up until now trying to bring him back (and we've spent reading about it) will be a waste. If Sasuke survives, we won't get the satisfaction of watching a character the manga has been forcing us to hate for years try and make up for it. I can't feel good about the fight ending and seeing Sasuke as a good guy in the epilogue.

Heh. I totally believe you. It'll come out that the power Itachi gave Naruto was just what he needed to complete his own (because it's Naruto and his power is loooove) extra ghei sharingan.

All I could think during that scene with the chakra cannons was, "Why has Jugo become a gundam?"

My thoughts exactly. That would be really disappointing. The whole frigin manga would end up being centered around Sasuke.
Sure Naruto would still (technically) the protagonist, but his only goal would be Sasuke... That is lame. I wish this arc would hurry up and end with Sasuke either dead (too much to hope for) or beaten down back to his supporting role which he never should've left. Naruto should've won at the Valley of the End (if that was it's name).

And during the fight with Sasuke it would be good if Naruto gets hit in the head really, really hard - forgetting he is a pansyfist. Then we can finally get a worthy arc with a worthy villain (who is decidedly evil and not just an abused emo like Sasuke, or some destiny dumbass like Madara). Hopefully then we won't have to watch Naruto trying to talk a villain into turning good.

Kishimoto has created such a rich and imaginative world, and it would be such a shame if the whole manga is wasted on Sasuke. There is just so many possibilities with this manga. He could do another time skip or something like Dragonball did. Sure Naruto could have it's ups and downs and it might not be so good if it drags on forever, but most mangaka have only a few masterpieces and between them one is always the best.

It is unlikely Kishimoto will create anything better than Naruto, so he should just keep it going. (Although he is probably rich enough to retire if he chooses to.)

I see what you mean now. It would suck if it ended with the Naruto/Sasuke fight and then some kind of epliogue afterwards (Though it probably will happen like that seeing how Kishimoto is trying to hurry and finish this manga). But I don't think that Naruto wants to become Hokage anymore because all he really wanted was for Konoha to respect him and acknowledge his existence. Since he got both of those when he came back from talking Nagato to death, there's really no need for him to become Hokage anymore.

this chapter was...a "didnt see that comin about the talk of sasuke's" (with sarcasm).

I've hated myself for readin' naruto in like three days or more. (but then again it's freakin' awesome to know more than the rest)....

It's just that everything is 'bout sasuke! wtf!? naruto's forgetting his dreams of becoming hokage, and the whole fated stuff, well in a chapter they told 'what irony they are fighting where the first and madara' so since that time I was like (speakin' of the three of 'em) 'mmm wth!? they are like everyone (sasuke, sakura & naruto or only sasuke and naruto)' yeah if naruto could only look like his dad it would be fine, if he weren't so strong it would be great.

but he has the fox tailed demon so is more easy for him then again, he might have all that power but still the story's 'bout sasuke.

Naruto just wants to bring sasuke's back, and sasuke wants revenger he's a true 'avenger' (wtf!?!)...Man, kishi needs to make something really awesome to remind me why I like this story.

but still the story was fine. not excellent or anything like that but it could be worst.
