The anime is adapted from the light novel, not the manga. It covers pretty much everything but the ending is different in the light novel, manga is still ongoing, so who knows.

I've just finished the anime and am thinking about reading the manga, but I'm curious:

How does the ending differ between the light novel and the anime? I'm not sure I want to read 10 volumes to find the answer.

It have the same ending... just the approach is different. Well maybe its better if i say the means... well the light novel ending seems more complex but its the same pairing from the anime so it kind of sucked (to me tho).

The biggest difference is that in the Anime Taiga only comes back at the graduation ceremony 1 to 1 1/2 years later.

While in the Novel Taiga comes back at the next semester, 1 or 2 months later. The story i also more detailed and complex.

1 thing you will see right away is that Taiga already shows that she have fallen for Ryuuj long before christmas, you can see the signs as early as the summer vacation at Kawashima´s place.

Of course it is the same pairing.

The Anime was made from the LN. And it was pretty obvious from the start in both of them that it would be Ryuuji and Taiga.
