America, Land of the NOT-free... in the case of anime/manga anyway
Please move this topic if needed... but I'd prefer it if it was here:
I would like to announce something, not to be rude but:
This information website on the Asian comic industry is so ridiculously un-accurate its upsetting. Its especially frustrationg when people will NOT listen to you when you ask for the genre "bara/gei-comi" to be added, just to be shot down by a mod saying that its not a genre (but it is, its a genre that falls into the seinen demographic)and its not type of BL/yaoi,BL is the real name of the almost exclusively female-oriented genre that focuses on gay male couples, that is not intended to be for gay males, but can be somewhat realistic on gay reality in some ways. I'd also like to add, that seinen, josei, shojo and shonen are NOT genres, thay are demographics.
Also on another note, regarding the website's FAQ...
Its upsetting that all "asian" names have to be written in romanji, when not all Asian languages do so, (i.e. Korean)...
I also find it funny how racist so many Western manga fanatics think its WRONG for a Western (The whole "white" name rule) author to take an oriental pen name, its so dumb, I can name a few Western authors who've taken on a J-Name:
-Lara Yokoshima
-Yayoi Neko
-Misakichi Asakura
-Yuki Shirou
-KAORU
-Oh, and all-so-famous classic author Saki!
And some Asians who took on English Names:
CJ Michalski
John K. Peter
Benjamin
-Alice Blue (doujin circle)
-Riyu Yamakami's other pen-name
OEL Artists with Asian names (of Asian descent):
-Kensuke Okabayashi
-Stan Sakai
So as you can see, why fight over someone choosing a name they WANT to choose?
Does anyone else agree, disagree, give reasons, comments etc.?

Oh and I believe any series, regardless if its translated/published in English etc. should be allowed to be added to this site. Please don't scanlate please. Thank You.

You are being rude.
You don't like it? Go elsewhere.
No other genres are being added.
None at all.
We have categories now.
Is that not enough?
I'd also like to add, that seinen, josei, shojo and shonen are NOT genres, thay are demographics.
Your point?
The staff reminds this fact constantly.
It's not our if fault people choose to ignore it.
Exactly who is fighting against those names?
Oh and I believe any series, regardless if its translated/published in English etc. should be allowed to be added to this site. Please don't scanlate please. Thank You.
What do you mean?
Ranting is not allowed, dear lady.
Some people were very anxious to comment on several mistakes you've done.
It might help you understand better.
About Saki -
Saki" (aka Hector Hugh Monro) took his pseudonym from a Persian work.
As for romanizing names - how else are others supposed to read them?
You can do it to everything. And what's wrong with that, I wonder?
Would you be able to read something like this: ?היית מסוגלת
.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.
