I read this one 2-3 years ago. The plot may be generic drama but I really liked the writing.

The setting is in college, where person A and person B have to work on a project together.

Person A avoids eye contact because of a traumatic incident that involved his then girlfriend. It later turned out that he had a manipulative friend (person C) who framed the incident as something traumatic and blackmailed the girlfriend to be the catalyst.

B is wealthy and popular I think, but not like extremely. He's the first to develop feelings and gets involved with C to find out about A's past. They get together eventually but C manipulates them and B decides to end the relationship to protect A, right before A wanted to gift him couple rings to reply to his feelings.

Then it gets rather blurry ... B manages to contact the ex-girlfriend and A gets to know the truth. Happy End.

Visually they are similar to the main couple of Secret Therapy.
