does anyone not see how pathetic that was?
How does he lose when hes one of the main character, especially when all those previous chapter of him pulling monkey out of his ass to defeat the villain?
Does this mean hes no different with a guy and a gun? All he has is just magical power and no idea of how to use it but just aim bluntly at them and hope it hit?

Everyone saw how pathetic that was.. That was the point.
I suppose that one move could be comparable to a guy with a gun. But for the most part he isn't that. You can compare what happened there to a lot of things. I've always been better than my friends at most things. But I have no doubt that if they could train for 7 years in basketball, chess, video games, or just about anything else in life, they would easily surpass me.

But remember, Natsu was one of the strongest in the guild--and the most unpredictable. In the past, their attacks wouldn't have even come close to registering with him. Now he has to have at least a little trouble inorder to show that while he is strong, the others are catching up. If he lost, people would complain--but if he won easily they'd hate it even more.
