Shakugan no Shana dropped by Viz?

Did Viz drop the Shakugan no Shana novels? It's been a while since the last release and there's no news about volume 3

It's still licensed- there have been no announcements of them dropping it, at least, and it's still up on their list of products.
The third novel is probably just delayed for any number of possible reasons.

I went and searched on some forums and it really looks like that Viz canned this series. Since I intend learning Japanese September I'll just buy the original Japanese editions of the novel.

Light novels aren't selling as well as some companies would like so a lot of them get stalled or dropped.

Just for clarification, I dug a little bit deeper-
Technically, the project is still licensed. So theoretically, they could produce more at any given time. At the moment volume 3 onwards is in indefinite production hell (presumably due to lack of sales).
So yeah, if you can actually read kanji go for it (f you're a total beginner to Japanese and/or Chinese characters, you might want to wait a while before trying something that has no furigana though). Viz might put out more eventually, but that's probably a few years down the road, if at all.
