I dunno if I dreamt this or if it was just in one anime episode or if I read it in the synopsis of some random manga, or whatever.

But a romance that starts with a guy or girl having a huge crush on someone and writes a love letter and puts it in his or her shoe locker. But when that 'someone' finds the letter he or she is not the least interested and puts the love letter in some other random locker. And then when the owner of that locker finds the letter he or she thinks it's for him/her and that's how the romance starts.

So is there any romance manga that starts this way?

Shindere Shoujo to Kodoku na Shinigami - probably not, cause the people it happened to arent the main people (it isnt completly as you said either), the manga isnt purely romance and a relationship doesnt really start...

it sounds totally unsure, so yeah just blindly guessing here 😉
Anyway the chapter are 7/8 and the following happens

Girl puts a love letter in the shoe locker of the guy she likes. She is a foreigner and thus writes "From (her name)" but the guy cant speak english very well and doesnt get that the letter is fro him but misunderstands and thinks the letter is meant for the girl since the girl's name is written on it (and he doesnt know what "from" means). So the guy puts the letter into the locker of the girl and the girl thinks the guy rejected her...

No lockers, but ...

In Kanojo no Honnou (Ch.1) a girl accepts a letter, even though she wasn't the one it was adressed to.

And in the "classic" Akuma de Sourou ...

The letter the main girl writes also ends up in the wrong hands.

I'm about 99% sure Azusa is the manga you are talking about. I'm not sure I know of another off the top of my head - but I'll think about it.

Well I don't really know where I got the idea from, so probably not 🙂

But that was a really sweet story though and 99% of what I was looking for, wished it was longer, thanks alot ! 😀
