in the story by far,a will of "D" is a legacy that had been hands down to "D" generations and their goal is to to send a message to the world the truth behind the poneglyph (true history) and upheld it. Well, thats my opinion though, but its too cliche. Seriously, what the fuck is will of "D"confused?I'm really100x curious!!!! Mind if u all share ur opinion so I can sleep well....confused

This might help clear some things up: http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Will_of_the_D.

I think its like a sort of clan, or people with a similar beleif that will uphold something (the truth?).
When the time is right they will unite and act, or something along those lines.

So far most of the ppl with the will of D that where introduced where mostly clueless about its true meaning. Theres still much to be clarified.

I don't think all of them were clueless about their initial. Gold Roger seems to know the true meaning behing the Will of D, and even told Whitebeard (and presumably his crew) about it in chapter 576.

From what I gather and estimate. Those with the D. in their names must be descendants of the people who wrote the poneglyphs. Remember that Gol D. Roger wrote a message on the poneglyph up in sky island, and that he and his crew found out the true history of the world. I think Roger gathered up some of the key poneglyphs at one piece or that one piece is actually the old capitol of his ancestors.

But finding out if this is true or not is probably going to take quite a while since I think/hope One piece will be going on for a couple more years.

Ummm, okay, Roger didn't know that language mind you so he couldn't write it as if he knew everything, he just heard the voice of all creations, it's a haki type that was seen plenty of times in OP chapters, just much stronger and better(or a devil fruit, not sure) but as Rayleigh has said they were pirates, they didn't understand things like that, and yeah, I agree that the "D." guys are the descendants of the ppl from Raftel which is probably the main island of the ppl that wrote the poneglyphs, and well to say that he stored some of the poneglyphs on raftel is kind of a long shot since he'd need to take quite a few on his ship and I doubt they are easy to cary with a single ship XD
anyways for now the most you can speculate is that they are the descendants of the ppl from raftel and that they are all quite the powerful ppl, with great spirits that will shake the world

he did know the language just look at *put on glasses and takes out note pad* Chapter 301 page 21
a message left by roger in the same language as is on the poneglyphs

and i think the will of D is a sort of mindset, a way of thinking they have which is fundemetally doffrent from others o.o or something like that >.> maybe its just a certain ind of haki XD
the one thing i see that is consistent with the D. oersons ish that they all have great power and are inportant to the history, even that gaint was a strong vice-admiral o.o

ow well just what i think XD

back at you dude, chapter 507, Rayleigh says they didn't understand those words, though he might mean they didn't fully understand them after reading them, but I think if he can hear the voice of all creation then he can understand the poneglyphs....ahhh, idk, it's pointless to squabble about it now, we'll see when the time comes now all we can do is predict

Well if we try to puzzle all thats happen then i would guess Will of the D
are descendants of the nation or country that the government destroyed according to the ohara arc
the people of ohara they discovered that the government did something to another nation that would shame them so they erased them and their history from the world but the poneglyphs remain which i believe is their creation

http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/395/08/
pictures if u don't recall it

so the conclusion that the D is a bunch of people with the blood of the D in their veins but this is just a theory of mine and could be entirely wrong, so well just have to wait and see
post your opinions of my post if u like smile

I'm not sure if the will of D is necessarily only passed down through blood. As Whitebeard said, you can eradicate the bloodline but "their" flames will never die. The will of D. has also been written as the will of Gol D. and Whitebeard also said that the will of roger and the will of ace will be passed down but that Blackbeard would not receive their will. This could also mean the possesors of D. are actually more like candidates to receive the will of their ancestors.

There may be a number of people who hold the the bloodline of D that are not discovered.
It appears that the will of D appears in those who are good rather than those who are bad since Roger and Ace were reasonably good and Blackbeard was well pretty much evil. Luffy is considered good despite declaring war on the World Government.
