The October issue of Shuiesha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on Thursday that the "grand finale" of Norihiro Yagi's Claymore manga series will appear in the following issue on October 4.

The fantasy adventure manga, which follows a half-human woman who hunts shape-shifting yōma creatures in a medieval land, launched in 2001. Jump Square had listed the series as ending in 2012, but later confirmed that was a misprint.

The series' 26th volume went on sale in Japan on June 4. Viz Media will release the 25th volume in North America on November 4. The manga inspired a 26-episode anime series in 2007 and Funimation released the anime series in North America in 2008.

Wow! I agree, I'll miss this series so much. From the moment I read it, this series quickly became my absolute favorite. I'll really miss it when it ends, but I'll be glad to have all the volumes on my shelf.

And it's over. Somewhat sweet, somewhat bitter. Good overall IMO.

just read the latest chapter !!! T_T
I'm having a really hard time accepting this story is over - as always, the author Yagi Sensei did not disappoint with this chapter either.

in so many ways it makes sense that the Warriors would not pursue the Organization in the mainland - why bring unnecessary hardship upon the people of their land? although it is so sad that this means the main cast will not appear together further extending this series

since the Warriors are essentially immortal longevity wise I don't think this will be the definite end to this story's universe either, although they may not be called "Claymores" anymore - they will definitely live on in fan made dj if nothing else ^_^

on a side note: I love how even though Raki is enormous muscle bound hunk now, the dynamic between him and Clare is still the same - he still tails Clare like a lost puppy XD
