"-Thirdly, the unfinished/unpublished titles. What is going to happen to them? To be honest: it's out of our hands now. The licenses belong to the original Japanese creators, so it's up to them what to do with the series. They might pull the plug on some series, or find another publishing company to complete their series. The best thing that you can do is keep supporting the original creators, hoping that they'll here your cries like we did so many years ago."

Hopefully this will make it easier to scanlate and host titles we previously had to go without.

Glad that makes you happy but I got some series from them I'd really want to continue buying.

This really sucks. Admittedly most of the titles I get are not Tokyopop, but the ones that are, well, they'll be impossible to get. It was my goal to collect all of Sgt Frog, Vassalord and Happy Cafe. But now I'll have to do without. To be honest, I didn't want to read any of those online anymore. It's not the same. ):

Oh, I didn't realize they were shutting down. What's posted here isn't very informative.
Yeah, that's kinda sad. At least the more popular ones are more likely to get picked up by another publisher.

Indeed, I noticed this with deadman wonderland, the computer screen acts like a wall between you and the manga.

Perhaps its time there was an anonymous scanlation group that did the last chapters of cancelled mangas.
I am sure the collectors of dead series would appreciate it. Remember how big the list of incomplete mangas there are from adv... Now we have added tokyopop to the list and we we have write a few to do.
