I used to burn designs in wood with a magnifying glass. You can actually get a lot of precision, and it takes no power.
Only having to hold your arm in a certain position for a while, that can get tiring XD

Like carpentry? I've made tables and shelves. Nothing much. I actually recently finished a drafting table.

I cannot resist going off topic and mentioning school experiences.
Because I broke the scroll saw six times (they had to bring in a mechanic twice)
In addition to the lathe, the drill, a tire prop, the thing that narrows boards...
So for good reason, I have never touched power tools since.
But I do carve occasionally, with a little knife. Random little sculptures of things etc. I like the artistic side of it.

I've pretty much done the same. I also used to do some miniture carving, they make great and cheap Christmas gifts XD.
