I forgot the name of a series I read in middle school some time ago.

-There was only two volumes and it ended abruptly.
-It was about a high-school boy who has paranormal abilities and he gets hired by somebody to solve paranormal related cases with another boy whom he doesn't like.
-He had to go and get involved in paranormal related cases, (one I remember involves someone who has telekinetic abilities that were caused by an embryo of a twin they had in their body.)
-They also had to train in a room that involved illusions/simulations.
-Nobody else knew about their jobs.

Anyone know of this series?
