Wow the Administrator only has two posts on your forum lol, I came here to fill the Position of Proof reader if I am at all needed I would be glad to join the crew and have a few good laughs and start my own venture into the more serious side of Manga (as I have only been reading it for 3 or so years). Here is somewhat of my credentials:

I have recently come to the conclusion that I would like to give back to manga what it gives to me and so many. I believe that the only way for me to so this is as a Proof-Reader for a manga, I believe that by me doing this is will enable me to further myself and my ambition to develop my own manga. I need to get more in tune with the whole process to further myself towards this goal. English is my native speaking language and i am currently at a University Standard of English I have completed year 12 English and English Language (English being a broader sense and English Language being more directly focused on grammar and the arrangement of the language). I am not as some would say very experienced at Proof Reading but i am always willing to learn.

I don't mean to pick on you, Kon-san, but I just have to do this...

First, your credentials don't mean much on the internet, since it's so easy to lie about this kind of stuff. It's easy to lie about age, schooling, gender, etc. Some proper credentials for manga scanlations would be if you had previous experience, since that is possible to confirm. It's just that you don't...

Anyways, the real reason is that based on the post you JUST made, your level of English suffers.

I recommend demonstrating some proper English or maybe learning how to edit. It's not THAT hard.

PS: Just because you like reading manga doesn't mean you HAVE to contribute by joining a scanlation team. Getting involved in discussions is always another way to go.

@lemondude: I recommend maybe posting a project that YOU want to do or have already started

I'm new at this don't go picking on me becasue i don't know!

I just want to help that is all! Don't be a party pooper and say that i can't if i don't have any expierence then you will never get any new faces into Scanlations. I don't have any other credentials than those which i have brought forth to LemonDudes attention.
What else am i supposed to do?...hmmm 😕

You missed the main point. It's not about the credentials. It's about how you present yourself.

In the case of trying to apply for proofreader, you have to type properly (and btw, you still have mistakes...)

Kon-san you are hired I wasen't lying when I said anyone applied will be accepted, even if you find just one mistake or just here to read our releases before others, that still cool, at least we know we have supporters

Most people in groups can't read Japanese...(at least not well enough to translate)

wat's your point, I never said anything about japanese. I don't even recall asking specifically for a type of translator. I did say any language is fine and even if you can't translate, there are other jobs avaliable.

As for expert, thats outta my league D:

there is no test, just post in the topic and you will be hired. You can choose your a project you want to do.

But if you think the advance stuff is too hard, and you still want to edit that manga then you can just do some of the simplier things so it takes some burden off the editors we already have.

So, bottom line, you apply, you accepted.
