What do you think of queues?

Okay so I've recently moved to the UK to study and one of the things I find very annoying with my home town that people don't tend to do so much in my area of the UK, ignoring queues. Personally there is something about me and queues, I don't just find them as something mandatory or annoying, in-fact when it comes to queues I can be pretty draconian.
I've always thought of queues as a microcosm for equality, how so exactly?
Well I always go back to idea that all individuals are to line up until they say, get to order their Happy Meal. By saying that you all have to line up, it is almost like implying that everyone's time has the same value and therefore you all need to wait for your turn. So when someone cuts in line or just blatantly ignores the queue it is like saying "my time is more important than yours." I've had this idea running through my head ever since I was around 14 and its only gotten worst since then.
This isn't a cultural attack but being in my Asian hometown for the past 12years of my life has really made me annoyed with the lack of caring for other people's time when cutting lines, its like you have to be brutal and push into the front crushing the little guy in front who just wants to get out, just so you can get what you were meant to get 10 minutes ago.
This had led me to become very aggravated with those who ignore the basic principles of what a queue is, because face it if you can't be bothered to wait with everyone else, then I don't see why you should get the 'reward' at the end of the wait.
(Note that extenuating circumstances may apply, I'm not merciless ¬.¬)
What are your views on queues?
P.S. I have been known to label those who don't queue as Barbarians, my UK friends find this surprisingly hilarious.

I don't mind them, but I'll punch anyone in the throat who
tries to get past without waiting.
If someone jumps in front of me in a queue, of course I'm gonna get pissed off. I've been waiting here longer than you, get to the back!
Queues are a necessity. Sure, they're annoying, and time consuming when they're huge, but you know what, I've seen a stall where there was no queue, just literally a ball of people trying to get to the front desk. It was an utter shambles 😔
If you hate them and don't want to get stuck in a queue, then don't go at peak times. For example, if you want to go to the bank, for gods sake don't go during lunch times. The queues go out the door! Same for any fast food joint at lunch times. Just go before 12 and after 2 🤣

@ "my time is more important than yours."
I hate that attitude, and it's everywhere. People have crap to do. The early bird gets the worm, otherwise get your ass in line and wait like the rest of us. >:-( It's so disrespectful and condescending.

But that attitude is just as bad as people that choose to hold lines up, but even if that's the case, chances are you're not the only one agitated and in a hurry.
In fact, the person that's behind you could be thinking what you're thinking about the people in front of you.
Queues are necessary, because not every crayon in the box is bright. They can be very annoying especially when someone cuts in front of you at stupid places like McDonalds, or like the lunch line at school. Cutting in front of a person can also be hazardous, like in traffic. That's just not cool. Someone I know just got in a car accident because someone was being impatient and cut in front of them.
Yea, that shit doesn't fly round here.

I don't see a lot of people cutting queues in the normal sense (I guess that whole "no cuts no buts no alligator guts" from elementary school kind of stuck); perhaps my biggest pet peeve is when one person is in line for a whole group, all of whom are checking out (or whatever) separatly.
The other "oh yeah, you're time is so much more important than mine" occurs in traffic, when people cut me off. I want to give all of them the finger and usually make very sarcastic comments like "Oh, yeah, those two seconds you just saved by cutting me off are really worth almost getting into a car accident over." And then the people that refuse to merge until their lane ends to save, oh, say five seconds. I'd almost rather get in an accident than let those people in.
I am a breath of insanity in a world of chaos.

I'm willing to wait unless they take too long.

I think they are important, they can be boring, but I will never cut, I'm normally patient.

Necessary.
Sort of like religion. I think that people need some sort of guidance or rules, otherwise it would be chaotic. Can you imagine if the concept of waiting for one's turn and lining up never ever existed?!
Even so, there will always be discourteous people in this world

what lse would one think of queues except for the fact that they are annoying and time consuming. not to mention how many times i've been lat to evnts or miss trains trying to get a ticket in a queue. and traffic queues. but one must admit they do allow you to get rid of your lifes fustration on something your powerless agains and talk to random strangers who happen to be in the same situation as you.
In conclusion we hate them but life would not be the same without them.

I've been known to even yell at grandmas when they get out of line. It's a reflex I picked up in my uni canteen queues...actually I think in a way I'm worse then people trying to cut in.

I think people are more generally prone to cut or be impatient in a car, I know alot of people who are pacifist but as soon as they get into a car they start pissing people off. I think its because you are less vulnerable in a car than in person, i.e being an asshole in person can warrant a punch, being an asshole while driving will most likely give you the finger or a honk. Which is ironic since you could easily crash for being a douche in a car.
But in Thailand if you ever piss someone off in a car, and decide to pull over, DON'T chances are that guy you just pissed off has a gun and is going to SHOOT you! (This is being over-dramatic but its serious business when people get shot over the battle of 5seconds of driving time)

It happens a lot around my school cafe. I would normally ignore it and wait for my turn, but it happened so frequently that I couldn't take it anymore. They usually swarm in groups, so I started cutting in front of people that cut, and I don't feel bad about it.

Assholes cut in queues. I hate it. But usually that has not happened to me. I always wait for my turn, but if someone tried to cut in front of me I might have few words to say to that person...
I'll hug your problems away.
