Well.... I don't think there's ever much reason to watch a "bad" anime, unless it's just for the sheer entertainment value of making fun of it, that is biggrin

But yeah, I agree with you, I've always been a big reader, so yeah, overall, it's manga first over anime for me too.

At the very least you can read a manga at your own pace. So if a manga is captivating, you can spend a lot of time on every page noticing every detail; if you dislike it, you can skim through it. But a bad 20-minute episode of an anime is still 20 minutes long.

Anime is generally worse. Manga creators are able to experiment and break boundaries much more than anime makers, because producing manga is cheap. Since producing anime is much more expensive, it's makers generally take the safe road of redoing what has worked before, with a few changes.

True, a trash anime would mean poor audio, poor animation and poor plot. Trash manga would just mean poor art and poor plot, the ears are spared! hahaha

99% of the time I only watch original anime or anime that were adapted from Light Novel instead of manga.

If manga is the source material then I always read the manga and skip the anime adaptation.

I choose anime over manga.

If the adaptation is good, then the music, voice acting, animation, color, etc all adds to the overall experience.

If it's bad, then there's usually 1 thing good about it. Like I've seen "bad" anime that have amazing OST that I loved. Or anime with predictable, cliche plot but exceptional action scenes.

i was never really a fan of animes (my watched list is very short) i used to watch more animated movies not series, but ever since i've found manga (years ago) i only read manga because the art is much better and i can read it as fast/slow i want, but when i watch anime i get very annoyed when things go too slow, too many minutes with nothing happening, a lot of silence, characters spacing out too much, girls with annoying voices or guys yelling too much, i don't have the patience to listen to cicadas, half of episode, every episode.
