I see that there's been a lot of hate recently for this manga with the lack of plot development, etc, so i figured i would suggest a simple plot twist that would make it amazing again

INTRODUCE A MALE ANTAGONIST in a medium sized arc!!!
well, not a truly evil antagonist, but just a guy from eba's work or whatever who tries to hit on her alot. at first haruto doubts her, but in the end haruto sees eba reaffirming how much she loves haruto while cruelly rejecting the new antagonist. this further strengthens harutoxeba love and they hug and stuff and settles another 15 chapter arc.

this addition would do THREE things

1. add a much needed significant male character to the manga. theres only been haruto, takashi and kazama so far while there have been soooo many females.
2. make all the eba-haters stop hating eba as much because this arc would focus on how dedicated and committed she is to haruto.
3. add an antagonist, as this manga hasn't had an antagonist for a while, since eba's dad i think.

of course, all of this is just some ideas on improvement, not that the mangaka is actually going to listen.

You thought there was too many female characters? Too bad he introduced a new one and brought an old one back haha 🤣
Anyway, I don't think a guy hitting on eba would help now, the only thing this manga needs is an ending, there's really nothing else to do, actually the only reason I can think of why it didn't end yet is because Kouji is planning to have Haruto and Eba break up again, and make Haruto end with another girl.

Here is what will more than likely happen:

Haruto has a lot of doubts about his future so I think tackling that is the logical step for the story. Maybe having him figure out that he wants to be a chef and then strive for it. Also Haruto needs to seriously grow a pair and get laid.

Here is what I would do:

A really crazy possibility that I would be interested to see but would never happen is to have Eba die (and before you ask no I'm not an Eba hater. I have no positive or negative feelings whatsoever about her. She just happens to be his love interest so logically she has to be the one to die to do the most damage to him).

Death has been dealt with in this story before but not to this extreme. Killing off a main character is always heart wrenching and I'm sure there would be a lot of hate but having Haruto deal with something like that could make for a really interesting story.

Maybe he starts going down the wrong path due to depression and makes bad decisions. We could see him getting to the breaking point. The story could be about him trying to pick up the pieces and find his way back from the darkness. Then maybe Shiho could knock some sense into him and get him back on the right track.

Then Haruto could realize his dream of opening his own restaurant. We could get a lot of interesting chapters about him pursuing his dream and falling in love with Shiho. Maybe end the manga with a time-skip or whatever showing him and Shiho married and with kids. Haruto having obtained his dream of owning his own restaurant.

This is the kind of storyline that I would love to see but would never fly with the readers.

So you want an even more cliched manga?

Had you never read a shojou manga? there are tons of manga where new rivals appear in every chapter, the moment the leads shake one a new rival just pops out of nowhere and at the end the girl and the guy have like 300 admirers that most likely end up hooking up with each others.

In my opinion that won't work, i think forgotten is right and Haruto should take an interest on what the hell is gonna happen to him in life, that is something that annoyed me of Suzuka, Yamato never paying attention to anything other that going out with Suzuka, in the end his life was decided on the last second, even tough he had talent he never did anything with that, i'm betting this sucker won't even be a cook if things go like till now.

Foolproof ways to improve this manga:

1. The end.

2. Haruto: "I'm sorry, Yuzuki, Asuka, but I've been lying all this time - both to you, and myself. The truth is, the reason I couldn't bring myself to have sex with either of you despite dating both of you for a full year a piece in an environment without any real supervision or restraints, is because I am, in fact, a gay man. Yep, I love penis. Clearly. Love. The cock. So get your ikky vaginas away from me."

3. Haruto: "Hey, Yuzuki. I just found out that Akari has a terminal illness, so sorry, but I'm gonna dump you and pity date her.

TROLOLOLOL CUZ IT WORKED SO WELL FOR KAZAMA'S ILLNESS, AMIRITE!?"

4. Yuzuki: "I'm pregnant."
   Haruto: "Congratulations. So, who's the father?"

5. Kazama: "Juuuuust kidding, BITCHES!!"

6. NTR. And not that baby shit Seo usually tries to pull off. I'm talking logic-defying hentai NTR where the heroine gets her vagina ground down by the ugliest dude on the planet, enevitablly hooking her into a life of erotic servitude.

I'd lol.

This manga is good as it is

no need for any changes, let the author run it's course as he wishes SRSLY
