Reading manga in a kindle, is it possible?

I'm aware the new kindle (you can find it at amazon.com (not the DX)) can read jpeg's and png's. But since I don't own a kindle myself, I was just wondering if it can manage the image files in folders or something.
The thing is, since it reads like paper and has 16 shades of gray, it seems like the perfect gadget to read scanlated manga. What do you think? has someone ever tried this?

well u have to put the manga images in a pdf format or a format tha the kindle can read
