i think the introduction subforum should be renamed into "personal messages"

1. as a result of the influx of birthday threads for the past few months, a benefit of changing the name of the subforum would be the inclusion of birthday threads into that subforum
2. since the introduction and the birthday threads are similar in that the replies are basically repetition of the same template formats over and over again, why not just throw them in the same subforum?

i also have another suggestion, to remove intro threads from the "latest topics" on the front page...

1. again, they're pretty much repetitions of the same lines over and over again
2. there're usually 2 to 3 of those intro threads appearing on the latest topics categories everyday (since MU is such a WELCOMING community) which block out the other interesting threads of discussion in the chatter box and other categories

i don't think it's such a big change, and if it's implemented, would be slightly more beneficial for lurkers to see new and more interesting topics on the frontpage
