Look at the name of the last saga. The anime just finished with the Thriller Bark arc, and since Garp said that they angered Newgate, you had a feeling that he was gonna answer to Ace being captured. But starting an entire war? Just to get one person back?

Anyway, if this war happens, what do you think will be the repercussions?

I don't think that's quite right. The Whitebeard War Saga should start right before the Shabondy Arc, not directly after Enies Lobby, seeing as Thriller Back seemingly has nothing to do with it and the WG doesn't announce

Ace's execution until about 3 to 4 days after the events on TB

Also, don't use rely on the Wiki too much, seeing as anyone can go in and edit things to their heart's pleasure.

More on topic-ish, its been hinted at something major will happen because of this and I'm going bet its Whitebeard's death and a major revolt of pirates and a greater shift in the balance of power.

It could be a war
Shinchibukai (or something like that), Marine HQ at last 2 admirals, Strawhat
Whitbeard and who knows who joins the battel.
I think this battel could be greater then Enis Lobby!!!

If you read the manga you'd already know the war has started, Whitebeard is moving in and the Marines have prepared their forces to go against him.

I don't know about a full-scale war, but the way things are going, there'll be at least a big brawl (to the death ^^)

I have a feeling a war might happen, but there is a possibility that someone or a certain event will intervene with it... I think they mentioned that White Beard will in fact do anything for his crew whom he refers to as his own sons. As for now, with all those BIG names of One Piece, I have a feeling that this saga is gonna be of epic proportions with or without a war.
