I got curious about the wall of text behind Tsubaki and Urabe, and I realized that it's taken from 4 different novels. I recognized the first section as the beginning of Frankenstein, where the titular doctor is beginning his tale and describing his motivations. The second section is from the first Sherlock Holmes novel, A study in Scarlet, where Watson is describing Holmes and how strange he seems, particularly Holmes' lack of knowledge about the solar system and politics. I don't recognize the other two sections. Anybody know where the excerpts come from? Any thoughts on the significance? Am I just a crazed fanboy desperately waiting on the next chapter? ..... I think that's a definite yes on the last one......

The part just to the left of the X (I believe I'm looking at the cover to Vol 1) is from the short story The Crystal Stopper by Maruice LeBlanc, a French novelist who wrote some stories about basically a French counterpart to Sherlock Holmes during the early 20th century. (look for the name Duebrecq, it's pretty easy to find in the wall of text).
