Attack on Titan Ends on April 9 After 11 Years
Kodansha announced on Tuesday that Hajime Isayama will end his Attack on Titan manga in the May issue of Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine on April 9, after 11 and a half years of serialization. The manga's 34th and final volume will ship on June 9.
Isayama noted that he had been saying since eight years ago that he would end the manga in three more years, but now he can finally end the manga as promised. He emphasized that the manga's length was not extended by the editors, but rather the question "when will it end?" often came up during the final push. He hopes fans will keep enjoying the manga until the end, and vowed to do his best until the finale.
Kodansha also teased that many projects are being prepared for the manga's conclusion, and noted that the manga has over 100 million copies in circulation worldwide.
Isayama reported in November that the manga is 1% to 2% away from completion.

I love Shingeki no Kyojin, so on one hand, I'm sad it's gonna end, but on the other hand, I'm glad Isayama has a fixed finale in mind and does not intend to drag it endlessly without knowing how to end.
But April 9...that means we have only, like, 4 or maybe 5 chapters left at most, no? I do wonder if that'll be enough to sufficiently end it without rushing...
I've been reading/following it since the 1st season of anime came out and it got my attention, thou I had heard of the manga as well before that, but yeah, the anime was so fantastic it dragged me to read the manga from the very first chapter and I absolutely loved it as well. Have been eagerly awaiting each new chapter.
These past 7-8 years have been an emotional rollercoaster for me and, well, here's to hoping the finale is as great as the series has been!

After the last chapter I'm a bit disappointed with the series , the author has introduced many unnecessary stuff and I don't think he'll have enough chapters to explore everything .
When the titan-shifters and the Ackerman were introduced ,even thought the were outrageous the first was one of the focal points of the story and the other somehow gave depth to how titans had actually been thoroughly experimented on.
But some of the things that are being introduced, go against many things that were set. What actually bothers me si how easy it would've been to conclude without introducing so late a flying titan or forcing the timing of everything so much, the pacing is seriously getting messed up. 😐
If he really wants to end humanity, it would take years. The way he is doing it he would need more titans ( he is also destroying all plant/animal life of earth).
