Which do you think is more important? A person's first love or their last love? (This is assuming that they are not the same - in most people's cases, they end up falling in love more than just once in their lives. And even if they ARE the same, which is more important, the firstness or the lastness of that love? Let's think that way.)

Some arguments in favor of first love: They say "the first cut is the deepest," so the influence of a first love lasts a lifetime. All future relationships will be filtered through the perception of love built by that first love. Also, the newness and freshness and intensity of that first love remain unparalleled, because it's the first experience of that sort.

Some arguments in favor of last love: This is the REAL thing, the lover that you choose to spend your life with, "until death do us part" (that's why it's a last love!). And because it's a last love, it's a love so powerful that you can never love another, even if you do end up being parted. Another reason why a last love is far more important than a first love is because a person has matured and gained an even deeper capacity to love over the years, and therefore feels, gives and receives a lot more during their last relationship than they did during their first.

I personally believe that a last love is more important. It can still be argued that maybe a last love is just when someone gets sick of going around the merry-go-round and gives up on love altogether (lol!), but in most cases, I've seen that last loves are the ones people end up spending their lives with. And in my own personal history, I've seen that I grew so much as a person in the years after my first love ended (simply because of becoming an adult, lol) that my capacity to love grew as well, and I ended up feeling a lot more the next time I fell in love. So arguably, a last love is more intense? Although I guess that depends on the person and on their relationships.

Definately last love in my opinion. First loves are great and all but they ended and for a reason. It's who you're with in the present that really matters.

as importantly as your first love is because of the memories and "how it was the one that taught you how to love with your heart", last love is still the one that lasts...

Logically speaking it would be the last love no? I mean, it's supposedly the person you're going to be spending the rest of your life with, you would think that's the most important love in your life, and the one that matters the most.

First love? It's more of an experience than anything. Important experience? Perhaps, but I think the last love would be deemed as the most important love of them all.

First love is kind of - It was important and meaningful at the time, but looking back it makes me just laugh and smile. Oh, youth.
I think in the future, if I find 'last love' it will be a very different sort of relationship. Hopefully that love lasts for a long time 😮

taking your first love into your grave may sound like a nice and bittersweet paradigm from manga but seriously, you should question peoples sanity that can't let go of a love until they die (first love = last love aside, happens like once in a thousand lifes)

for me, last love is definitely going to be the first TRUE love, right? if the first love didn't work out then something's wrong with the love between the two persons involved so it might have been just a sort of crush or something less than love - infatuation, maybe...

but the first love's important, too... specially when it didn't work out... most of us learn from that experience so yeah... ahaha! in their own ways, the two kinds of love are important...

though ending up with your first love sounds and looks really nice. and i'm quite the idealistic so the idea's really NICE...
