Please help me remember the name of yaoi (or shounen ai) manga I read some time ago.

It was about a popular chef who was helping his crush (a girl) to run a cafe that was left from her late husband. Unfortunately, that's all i remember(

So, when the protagonist was still a school student, he and his childhood friend (a girl) often visited a cafe. The girl liked the owner and admired his cooking, that's why the protagonist decided to become a chef. But it didn't help to get the girl - she married that cafe owner.
The protagonist managed to become really famous, and was often shown on TV. Then he came back to his hometown to find that the cafe owner died a few years ago and the girl was trying to run the cafe herself, but was not really successful. So he decided to help her and even neglected his own work for the sake of managing that cafe.

I'm not sure, but I think that was another employee of that cafe, a waiter or something, who told the protagonist he was being too altruistic)
the fact that I absolutely don't remember their further relationship makes me think that the manga wasn't completed/completely translated)

sorts of tags) My sister claims to have read it but she can't remeber the name 🙁

I even tried searching in japanese on japanese sites, using my basic language knowledge, but it didn't help 😔
Another thing I remembered: the cafe/restaurant was either french or italian)

Did you try a category search, btw? Here's the link to the search with 'chef' as the category and 'yaoi' as the genre (I excluded shounen-ai because the shounen-ai+chef search turned up less than 10 titles, none of which fit your description). This page has a fair few series, but not so many that you won't be able to go through them and see if something clicks.

And a search replacing 'chef' with 'restaurant' might be a good idea as well.
