Wow, this is distressing. Was it axed, or what? I thought sales were good, so I wouldn't assume so. Maybe it was always intended to be just a short addition... hopefully it gets a good ending.

In Manga, a good ending is a rare occurrence. I was always disappointed in this manga because it was never made 100% clear if Mena and the werewolf boy were lovers, good friends or what.

This. I just bough the first volume of the Scarlet Order and was under the impression that this second "season" would be around the same lenght as the first set. Really surprising that it ends this fast.

Really? I thought it was clear. Anyways, it is made absolutely clear in other cannon works, specifically... well... spoiler warning...

The mangaka published a series of doujins and light novels containing various extras, and anyways Mina and Akira kiss and whatnot in them, and there are other short epilogues from post-series that make it clear they've become lovers (personally I always thought the original series was clear enough on that point, but apparently not.)
