Do you think you will ever quit?

I was wondering do you find yourself planning on quitting to read manga and anime?
I used to say the same thing about video games, I haven't quit playing them. I just rarely even put them on my priority to do anything with them. When I was young I thought of myself as the constant gamer. Now I'm 18 and video gaming has become something I do once in a blue moon.
I probably do find myself to stop reading/watching anime/manga. I just think as I grow older the stories of manga will not appeal to me. I don't know. Already now a few manga/anime have lost their appeal to me. Harems, Shounen Romance, High School Comedy, and generic shounen action. Maybe when I was still in high school I would still love to read shounen stories, but since I'm in college I just can't enjoy them for some reason, maybe it is because I can't fantasize myself in their position. The only manga genres that appeal to me still would be seinen.
You?
Maybe, when it's a little hectic, I tend to put it aside, at least for a little bit but what's to stop be from putting it aside forever.

nah, i dont think so.....i'm more of an on and off type of guy, like for example i just started reading manga again about a couple of weeks ago, but b4 that i hadn't really read any in a couple of months
so yeah, since i read manga in spurts instead of all the time, i can't say i'll ever get tired of it...but i do agree with the shounen part, it's hard for me to find a shounen i'm interested in these days now that i'm 20 alot of just seem to ridiculous or immature, but i know that if this was a couple of years ago it would be pretty easy for me to find one

Unfortunately, yes...
I blame it on not having enough time, I blame it on lack of good stuff, but most of all, I blame it on maturing and getting old. 😮
I remember when I didn't stop playing FF8 for 3 days. I remember when I stayed up the whole night to finish reading Death Note. I remember getting excited every week for Gravitation.
And now... all I do is smile and say "I'll do that in the weekend" then forget about it. XD;;
I hate spoilers.
I think so.
I'll prolly lose all interest
within 20 years or maybe even
in 10 years.
Slowly getting there. I don't even read/watch the stuff I download anymore. Anyway, feels as if I read this somewhere before.

I don´t think so. Of course I would´n read it so much like now, but there would be times I will. Some people will watch superstar, some will read books, I will read manga. Definetely. 😁

Yeah, I think I will... don't know when, but it will happen. I mean it's not like I can read it forever anyway, right? You got to die sometime.

No Idea.
I'm realllly into the anime/manga scene.. right now but,
who knows what the future holds?
I've been interested in anime/manga for about.. 5 years, and I haven't lost interest since then. Maybe in the future when I get some career that makes me neglect manga/anime, I'd probably forget my love for it, and thus causing me to quit. :[.

I quit when I was around 16, thinking that I'd never read manga again, but I got hooked again several years later.
As I get older, I suspect I won't have time to track so many mangas, and I've never really been interested in the extremely famous titles, so I don't know how I'll know which ones are good. It'll be hard to find them even if I want to read them.

Hmm, I'm not quite sure. Surely 5 years or so from now I don't see myself reading manga as much as I do now (which isn't a lot). Recently, no particular series has really intrigued me to read it all in one sitting or eagerly follow it as some series have done in the past, but that's mainly because I've been too busy with uni.
I think I would only really quit reading manga or watching anime when its quality drops (more than it has in recent years anyway). So many good series are soon coming to an end or have already ended, and originality nowadays is scarce...Once I get tired of seeing it done and over and over again, I will probably call it quits.
So basically, it won't have much to do with age or time, but more so with quality.

Yup. For manga, that is...If I ever do, I'll still want to collect artbooks. As for anime, maybe eventually. I still have a long, long time until any of this happens though. I still have to collect all my favorite manga and buy all the ghibli movies before I even start to slow down. My obsession with it all has hardly even showed yet.
I definitely don't "plan" on quitting. But all things have to stop eventually, though...right? Mainly I think I'll become uninterested, but not because I'll be too old to enjoy it. If I ever ban manga/anime and say it's because I'm too old, shoot me.

Hmm, wasn't there a thread like this?
I don't know.
For a good while now, I haven't been reading much (not even getting around to read the titles I want) and I've never been an anime enthusiast.
I'll most likely have a computer for as long as I live and unless scanlations get completely banned from the net I'll probably keep on reading.
I don't see a reason to quit. Not completely.
What actually matters to me more is my scanlation group. I hope I'll be able to keep it going even if I have less time.
Hrodulf and Bjornolfr, you will not be forgotten.

I surely will. At some point, I just won't care anymore, probably, and I'll stop.

i will probably stop watching anime and just read manga once in a while in the future since anime takes more time than manga and there are no fillers in manga , unless the anime wasnt created based on manga xD
im kinda getting bored of it already , but if i find something amazing i cant stop reading it ( since i pretty much dont watch anime anymore )
